BF Young Professionals

Who is a Young Professional?  Belle Fourche Young Professional (BFYP) seeks to unite, all of the Belle Fourche Area’s promising young talent—be it a rancher, bank teller, business owner, or specialist.  We would like to celebrate the diverse array of resources in our area and make it a better place for everyone.

A Young Professional is simply a goal-oriented individual between the ages of 21-39 with a mind set to pursue a career path.  It is not the job or vocation that defines the Young Professional as it is the individual’s drive and investment in his or her own future, and consequently the future of Belle Fourche and the Black Hills area.

Belle Fourche Young Professionals (BFYP), an initiative of the Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce,  is a  networking group designed to engage an emerging group of “up and coming” leaders committed to personal growth, and career advancement.

  Mission

The Belle Fourche Young Professionals group of the Belle Fourche Chamber of Commerce is committed to the advancement of the 21 to 39 year-old workforce.  The BFYP will focus on professional development, networking, community development, and social opportunities.  Members will thrive in an environment that is  welcoming and conductive to  lifetime learning and building professional relationships.  

  Connecting

The BFYP will meet once every quarter, only four times a year.  We know you are busy and we want the Young Professional gatherings to be relaxing and enjoyable.  So, come be a part of what’s going on in business and community in Belle Fourche.

  Leading

Henrik Ibsen once said, “A community is like a ship; everyone ought to be prepared to take the helm.”  By learning the ins and outs now we will be prepared to be the leaders and catalysts of change and growth in Belle Fourche. 

  Serving

With leadership comes service.  On average, South Dakota’s 22,000 volunteers dedicated 24.4 million hours of service between 2005 and 2007. The estimated economic contribution of the volunteer hours served is $476 million annually.  Why not bring more of this back to our community to help Belle Fourche thrive!  Good leaders must first learn to serve others.
